Also known as European cranberry, this small fruit is enjoying great success in the nutraceutical field thanks to its antioxidant properties and its ability to assist the body in fighting proactively the occurrence of bacterial infections in the urinary tract.
Available in two different varieties, this berry is characterized by the presence of anthocyanin (3-O-galactoside and 3-O-arabinoside of cyanidin and peonidin), proanthocyanidins, carbohydrates, organic acids such as malic acid, oxalic acid, benzoic acid and citric acid. There are flavonoids too.
